Unit 3 – The Performance Piece   A*=27/30marks    A =25/30 marks

Unit 4a- The Solo Composition  A*=20/20 marks  A= 18/20 marks

Candidates should demonstrate an inspired , creative and original development of the motifs
 Candidates should demonstrate an inspired , creative and original linking of the motifs.
Candidates should structure the dance piece which is highly appropriate and use of devices very effective – the piece has unity.

Candidates demonstrate highly developed evaluation skills and analytical skills


Unit 4b Choreography A* 39/40 marks A= 37/40 marks

The candidates response to a stimuli leads to a creative and interesting outcome.

The candidates selection of actions in response to the stimuli are original and creative.

Unit 1 The Written Exam 45/50 A* 42/50 A

Candidates should describe, analyse, interpret and evaluate features of dance using appropriate terminology

Candidates should compare and contrast different choreographers, dance works, styles and cultural influences.

Candidates should understand the relationship between choreography, performance and production including aural and physical settings, costume and dance for camera


Candidates understand the physical, aesthetic and artistic contexts of dance.
